Prepare for your Procedure
Upon your arrival at the clinic, you will meet the DHI Total Care Consultant who will introduce you to the medical team performing your hair transplant.
The DHI Assistant will accompany you to the hair salon for hair wash and haircut (optional) and thereafter you will proceed to the operating theatre.
The whole treatment is performed by a Doctor certified by the London Hair Restoration Academy to ensure our patient’s safety and success of the treatment.
During the extraction phase you can listen to your choice of music/radio station, whilst during the implantation phase you can relax and watch a movie.
Between these two phases you will have a short break for your lunch before finalising the distribution of the hair follicles with the Doctor.
At the end of the treatment a member of the team will discuss the simple post-operative instructions to ensure the optimum results can be achieved.

The extraction phase
Hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a specifically designed disposable tool with the diameter of 1mm or less.
The classification of follicles
The follicles are then kept at a specific temperature and in a solution that enhances their development after placement, without separating, cutting or generally handling the grafts
The implantation phase
The hair follicles are implanted directly into the region suffering from hair loss using a patented tool, the DHI Implanter, also with a diameter of 1mm or less, without prior creation of holes or slits.
With DHI implanter, doctors can control the depth, the direction and the angle, each graft is placed. Thus, the new hair does not fall, the grafts live longer and the final look is 100% natural.
The importance of hair design
A worthy transplant must be completely natural looking in its final result.
To achieve this, the Doctor uses a mathematical formula that allows a specific number of follicles to be extracted that are single or multiple in order to predict the artistic implantation he will do in the second phase.
The placement of the hairs in the second phase is then distributed in accordance to the individuality of each of our patient’s needs. Therefore, the precision of the DHI tools makes it possible to control the angle, the direction and the depth of the implanted hairs to give us the natural result.
